 Later in the day, more students can be found at the shopping tents on Manchester Plaza where vendors offer organizing supplies, rugs for residence halls and backpacks.  Katie Russenberger, a sophomore from NJ, is a student orientation adviser. Wake Forest has a long tradition of pairing upper-class students with a faculty/staff adviser to form an academic advising "team" for small groups of first-year students. Deacon OneCard distribution
 Students wait in line in the Benson Center to pick up their Deacon OneCards. Students who sent their photos in ahead of time, have their cards ready to pick up. (Yeah!) Students who did not send their photos ahead of time have to get their picture taken after having just moved in to their residence hall room on a warm and humid August morning.  Each residence hall has RTAs or resident tech advisors available to help with any computer issues. Geoffrey Curtis (left), a sophomore from Wilmington, DE, and Arif Ibrahim from Pittsburgh, PA, are the gurus for Luter Hall. Geoffrey and Arif answer questions for first-year students about where and what time to go pick up their laptops, and how to access Facebook using campus wireless.  Seniors Rebecca Patton and Will St. Martin are in the Benson Center helping new students find their way around. Students stop at the Benson Center to pick up their Deacon OneCards, their post office box keys and to learn more about student organizations. Patton is the student manager for the information desk and a psychology major from Malvern, PA. Ready to Recycle
 Outside of Benson University Center are stacks of recycle bins. Each new student gets to take a lovely blue bin for their dorm. The bins are filled with information on recycling and a sturdy reusable Wake Forest shopping bag. Recycyling and sustainability are important and everyone at Wake Recycles wants full participation!
